Currently browsing 3. Lesson plans: Animals and Us
This section covers the interactions between domesticated animals and their human carers. You can teach your class about how humans came to have domestic animals such as cows and dogs, and what that means for our responsibilities towards them. The five welfare needs are looked at in detail, in addition to thinking about concepts such as gratitude towards productive or companion animals.
Lastly, the final two lessons focus on safety around dogs, including teaching your class about rabies and how to act if they come across a rabid dog.
